Never Too Late

Never Too Late is an original piece from my Paint Over Doubt series.

The words written into this piece were taken from a real, anonymously submitted doubt. In this case the person felt they had missed their chance and should stay within their comfort zone.

This work rejects that voice. The butterflies quieten it and show that you can step forward regardless, even when the thought is still there underneath.

Every Paint Over Doubt piece begins with a doubt creature. These strange figures make the invisible visible, giving doubt a shape you can finally confront. A doubt is written into the creature, then covered with something more positive, in this case butterflies. The doubt remains in the canvas, but it no longer gets the final say.
